This beautiful gemstone modern minimalist bar necklace has eight Ruby Gemstone beads and three 14k gold filled beads on a 20 inch 14k gold-filled chain. It can be worn alone or layered.
All metal is 14k gold-filled. Gold-filled contains 100 times more gold than simply gold plated. It is usually considered a lifetime piece of jewelry. Under the same care as precious metal jewelry, 14/20 gold-filled jewelry will not peel, flake, or wear off. It can be treasured as heirloom pieces. Gold-filled jewelry, unlike gold-plated jewelry, can be polished and cleaned with jewelry cleaner. The layer of gold will not eventually rub off. It will not tarnish and it is safe for most people with sensitive skin and allergies.
Care and Cleaning: Clean the beads with a damp soft cloth.
Shipping, Returns & Exchanges: Your necklace will be placed in a heavy-duty plastic bag and a box, then will be securely packaged and shipped within 1-2 business days (usually the same day). Full refund of purchase price if not delighted with your purchase. Please notify me within 7 days of receipt.

Ruby gets its name from the Latin word for red, ruber. It is one of the four precious stones along with diamond, sapphire and emerald. Ruby is the third hardest gemstone--with a Mohs rating of 9--after diamond and moissanite. For centuries, rubies have been mined, collected, traded, treasured and used in fashion, such as the breastplate of high priests and to adorn weapons. Ruby is known as the gemstone of nobles. "Blood red" rubies are considered the most valuable. In some ancient cultures, ruby gemstones were used to cast lots to predict the future. Famous rubies include a ruby and diamond ring by Van Cleef and Arpels from Elizabeth Taylor's collection that set a record for price per carat: $4.2 million/8.24 carats.
Ruby is the birthstone for the month of July. It is also used to commemorate the 40th anniversary of weddings and other milestones.
Ruby is believed to promote loving, nurturing, health, knowledge and wealth. It has been associated with improved energy and concentration, creativity, loyalty, honor and compassion. Ruby is thought to be protective of home, possessions and family. Ruby is said to stimulate heart chakra and bring spiritual wisdom while shielding against psychic attacks.

Please note that sterling silver, bronze and copper WILL tarnish over time if not cared for properly. To minimize tarnish, your purchase will be shipped in a heavy-duty plastic bag. Silver items can be gently cleaned with a silver polishing cloth. Both bronze and silver can be cleaned with a commercial cleaner, but be careful to not get the cleaner on the beads as it may stain them.
